Olfelt Ceiling Lamp
Hi,
I have just seen this House is for sale (I'm in New Zealand) and having visited a few places of FLW including Taliesin West I am particularly interested in the Light fitting over the dining Table.
Does anyone have any photos or drawings of the particular light?
Any help would be much appreciated.

That is a take on the Stalaclite, named after stalactites that hang like icicles from the the roofs of caves, the horizontal shade is shaped differently than the one at Taliesin theater. Mine is a half scale version that Bob built for the house, he also built the full size one at Taliesin.

The interesting thing about the one in question is that the design appears to have been altered to keep it sympathetic to the house's grid ...KevinW wrote: That is a take on the Stalaclite ...

Yamagiwa, a company licensed by Taliesin, has produced at least 17 FLW light fixtures covering his entire career. Olfelt is a hex-version of "Pendant/P2428/P2430." What I have doesn't include information on the company's location or anything to suggest they are still producing the lights, but Taliesin should be able to help locate them.
It appears the current Yamagiwa line is limited to floor and table lamps. But the older models may still be available if one looks hard enough.

Interestingly, it appears they do not currently sell their products in the States ...

These Frank Lloyd Wright products are not available in the USA at this time.

Googled Pendant/P2428/P2430, found six images of Wright fixtures including four of the current subject in its original (rectangular) version.
dtc has shown a hex-plan version of the table-top pole lamp, unique (as far as I know) in the same way that the Lamberson triangular coffee table is unique. Photos of the handsome lamp, at the Dobkins residence, fail to show clearly its plan geometry, as might be predicted: Wright's angular plan features often escape two-dimensional depiction in perspective.

The neat thing about the loose-leaf catalog I have is that each lamp (including the Dana chandelier) has elevations and plans measured in inches and millimeters. The square hanging lights in question come in
11-lights at 7'4-5/8"(2251mm)x8"(204mm)x16-1/2"(420mm) ...and...
7-lights at 5'5-5/8"(1667mm)x8"(204mm)x16-1/2"(420mm)

I guess you'll have to turn it into a squat and ridiculous table lamp . . . ?

At Kraus, the shades/boxes/etc also match the grid:
