This a neat house! A great alternative to the bungalows by the lakes.

Was the atrium originally an open courtyard? Is that translucent plastic or screenhouse screen material at the atrium's oculus?

Thank you. It's polycarbonate roofing on the atrium skylight. We replaced the older corrugated fiberglass material and added a slight pitch to help with drainage. There are side vents and the space is air-conditioned so it is included in the square footage.

Yes, the atrium was originally open and screened at the 8 foot level, meaning the house was originally all flat roof. The architect and original owner added the pitched section as they were tired of running across in the rain. The covering allows the space to be used in all types of weather.

You and your wife were kind enough to allow a small group of us from Wright Chat to tour your terrific home a couple of years ago. Thank you, again, for the opportunity. We truly enjoyed your home - and your hospitality.

I hope that you are able to sell the home and move onto greater things in life. And, I hope that the home gets as good and caring stewards as you folks have been.

This reminds me more of Alfred Browning Parker than Wright. Wonderful house. The price seems low, but then, I live in California, so what do I know? Here you cannot find a condo for less than three times that amount.

Hi David, I remember the visit well. It was great to have such an enthusiastic group come and share their insights and encourage us with the restoration.

We are definitely looking to find new owners who will take care of the house for years to come. It's a house with heaps of character.
