Just received an e mail blast from T-W. The FLWSA has met their funding goal of $2M. More and thorough info as it develops.

Very good news, Michael. Thank you for letting us know about it.

Do you happen to know if they are going to have to do this type of fundraising every year, also? If so, that could be a very tough nut to crack year-after-year.

Don't know the details, David, but the pledge I was asked to make calls for equal contributions spread over five years.

The legal necessity of separating the School from the Foundation remains a mystery to me. It was only a few months ago that sale of the archives seemed to guarantee financial support for everything ... but here we are ... having fund-raising projects at $150.00 a head.

Fundraising

When I got the request for donations on Monday, the total was $13,000. And $2 million dollars were raised! I don't believe it.

I believe you may be referring to this fundraiser, which from what I understand is actually a sub-set of the overall School of Architecture Campaign for Independence. The Kickstater Campaign (to raise money to support the Desert Shelter Program) funds - had it actually reached it's goal - would have been co-mingled with the Independence Campaign funds.
