How much would it cost to have another set of those made, I wonder. It is, after all, the design that really matters and any iteration built faithfully to the drawings would be equally legitimate, even if there was a certain provenance lacking.

The listing doesn't name the current owner, but indicates they were purchased at the 1995 Christie's Auction when the Domino's Collection blew up ...

I can imagine a set of windows of the design complexity of Dana or Martin that large would cost a scary amount of money to reproduce, but $120K for Little originals of such simple design? That's beyond reason. Though given the price that chipped red tile of questionable provenance recently brought, perhaps not.

Having built some FLW windows from available patterns, I'd have to say that those windows would be harder to make than you might think, though copies would cost a lot less than the amount the auction expects to take in. All those little triangles are rather tough to get lined up with the degree of perfection you'd want!!

I can believe it. And I know from experience that clear window glass is a lot harder to cut neatly than the colored glass often seen in church windows and lamp shades . . .
