Video: David & Gladys Wright House
Where is the digital model employed? Is it possible that it was filmed using a drone?
Does the Carnaval Pictures film match what viewers (DRN, Pharding) saw on the tour?
The golf course landscaping does not look real, but seems to match what has been said here previously. That "sea of green" is more Yellow Submarine than a tribute to native flora. But other than that, the house looks like it is being loved...

My first clue to the use of a model for some shots (initially, in an overhead view) is the perfection of the green surfaces -- and their very presence, as the landscaping hasn't been completed, as I understand it. No lawn, even one of artificial turf, would appear as uniform in color and texture as it does here.

I also wondered about the landscape. When I was there like a decade or more ago there was no outbuilding and it was just some dirt then orange trees at the back of the property. They were, as I understand it, a fraction of the vast orchard that once was there. It this place becomes a tourist site, they could do very well on their $2+ million investment.
That looks accurate to what I saw on the tour during the conference - right down to those godawful votive candles that were absolutely everywhere. As for the landscaping, they'd covered the entire lot with fresh sod and landscaped in that Pacman shape, which they claimed marked the future museum/gift shop/interpretive center. What a couple of us found interesting was that while there was more sod than I'd seen anywhere this side of a golf course, we could see no infrastructure for irrigation. Not sure what that says to its permanence ...
Moments in the film, such as at 00:23, 00:28, 00:36, and 00:55 seemed like model shots, both for content and for camera movement. Perhaps I was wrong -- in which case kudos to those who made this happen -- I guess. There was certainly a lot of time put into photography. From what building would the footage at 00:23 have been taken ? Is there a guest house made in the same palette as the main house ?

This is quite interesting. Since my last visit to the property, during the siege by the jerk asses who previously held ownership, I can report that this film shows extensive cleaning and "sprucing" up to both the interior, exterior and landscape. This appears to include the John Howe designed guest house that is on the property and I see they have kept the old rotary phone - you can see it on the table.
The grounds have been cleaned. What was just dirt and scrub has been replaced with grass. Maybe not the best choice, but a vast improvement. I doubt the original and extensive use of citrus trees will ever return.
It does appear that some computer graphics are used, but I do not have the background or experience to comment. In the one of the last shots, the lighting on the ramp and around the house is not original and maybe was just done for the holidays. Recent news articles suggest a rather ambitious long term development of the property. The owner has acquired one or two adjacent homes for expansion of these plans.
Sadly, the original carpet is not in place, having been sold and removed and is now just bare floor.

The cache of Flickr photos HOJO linked are as I saw the site as well.
Note: When I was in the guest house during my visit, there were bound copies of all construction photos and drawings from the FLWArchives for perusal. In them were drawings of the guest house dated prior to 4.9.1959 with FLLW's title block, and initials. If John Howe designed the guest house, it was under Wright's supervision.
The video is exactly as I saw the site in November. It does appear a "drone" or some other radio controlled model helicopter was used for some filming.Where is the digital model employed? Is it possible that it was filmed using a drone?
