J. B. Muns Bookseller

Post by Roderick Grant »

A new list of FLW material has arrived with entries some may find interesting:

#5 Complete Monograph, if you are thinking of buying or selling, the going price is $6,000.
#6 The elusive Selected Drawings, Portfolio #1, $2,500.
#126 "Frank Lloyd Wright On Record," LP recorded 1956 at the Plaza by Ben Raeburn, 2 hours of FLW speaking off the cuff, unopened with original cellophane, for $200!
#129 Mamah Borthwick's translation of "The Morality of Woman & Other Essays" by Ellen Keys, $400.
#132 "The Japanese Print: An Interpretation," 1912 edition FLW did not like, destroyed most, only 35 survived. $2,500. I've seen it for $5,000.

[email protected] Joyce is a major dealer in FLW. Her prices reflect true value. The above are only a few of the items in the catalogue.

I have been buying from J B Muns for approximately 20 years and can give them the highest possible recommendation. Their service is excellent. Pricing fair and honest. Their reputation is without question.

At an Antiquarian Book Fair held in the ballroom of what used to be the Coconut Grove, I came across an issue of HB or AF. I believe it was at Kenneth Starosciak's table. I had it, so I didn't need another copy. The next time I strolled by, it was gone. Then I went by Joyce's area, and there it was, double the price! She knows what books are worth.

SDR, is Ken still around? He had a nice store in the '70s.
