What a joy to view these pics. I love the Black & Whites.
Some friends and I just toured the Westcott in Springfield, Ohio yesterday.
Both homes are close in dates, the Boyton is 1908 and the Westcott's moved in their home the same year.
Congratulations to the owners...and all the trades that worked on it...a job fantastically done!

Is it time for another project?

The color of the exterior is so much better than the flat white it was for years. Love the old (Lennox?) 'fridge, the intercom, the Regulator A and the entire kitchen.

On one side of the house (not the entrance side) there is a wood framed glass rectangular prism ... or something like that. What is it?

Not a prism more like a box.

Look in the color pictures, #6, #17, and #26. It shows inside the dining area. The lower row of windows has an unusual bump out that looks like a box on the outside. It is on both ends of the dining room, where the smaller table sits.

The plan in the Monograph calls it the "Breakfast Bay", it's off the dining room as suggested by krietzerjak. It's an interesting form on the exterior.
