Frank Lloyd Wright House benefit: The Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park will hold it annual benefit 2-5 p.m. June 4. The event is scheduled on the closest weekend to the great architect's birthday, June 8, and doubles as a 139th birthday party. Festivities include house tours of the region's only Wright-designed house open to the public; a picnic; music by the Carolbeth Trio and Mike Buerk; and a 3 p.m. lecture by Tim Quigley, an architect, scholar and preservationist, who will talk about saving Wright properties.
A special feature: an exhibition of paintings by Russell Kraus, who with his wife Ruth commissioned the house. Their two portraits will be presented to the house's collection. Tickets are $100 and up and can be reserved at 314-822-8359. The Kraus exhibition will be on view through the summer; tour reservations can be made at the same phone number. (DB)
