Sure, we can call anything "Frank Lloyd Wright"
Re: Sure, we can call anything "Frank Lloyd Wright"
Whatever we call it, this is an extraordinary accomplishment. Whether what we see in these photographs is the owner's doing or a superb job of staging-for-sale---or some of both---the result represents a very sophisticated taste. The colors are both lively and restrained, utilizing a neutral gray above or below or as a wall color, as a foil for the warm neutrals, whites, and strong but muted primary colors nicely distributed among cabinetry, furnishings, and art.
The whole thing looks fresh and immaculate. If the house was recently updated, what was done blends perfectly with the original bones and materials. For once I applaud the painting of, for instance, that array of heavy timbers overhead; any textural defects (knots, checks, etc) in the wood have been properly dealt with prior to painting, and the array has then been lighted effectively. That's one example among many, of art and craft in service of a seamless presentation.
The glassed-in terrace, an addition perhaps to the original house, is a striking example of an indoor-outdoor space. In some climates this might be a screened rather than a glazed amenity. The effect must be a refreshing surprise to the first-time visitor ?

Located near North Phoenix, the Mack Innovation Park (https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/new ... oenix.html) claims to be Wright-inspired.

FYI: Kim Lloyd Wright is a great-granddaughter of FLW. She may be related but doesn't seem to know her relatives real well.
Like many articles that mention FLW there are usually one or more flaws...
FTA: The David and Gladys Wright House in Arcadia where Kim Lloyd Wright was raised in was designed by Lloyd Wright, Frank Lloyd Wright’s eldest son. “He designed our house to look just like a Frank Lloyd Wright,” Kim said.

Heh. One way to avoid the wrath of nay-sayers like me, is to write nothing at all about the property ! I don't see Wright name, or anyone else's, attached to this listing. Have I (once again) missed something ?
