John S. Van Bergen House for sale

Post by Roderick Grant »

For those of you who would like to own a Prairie House in Oak Park, but cannot afford the surreal prices of Heurtley or Gale, there is a John S. Van Bergen house on the market for a comparatively modest $563K at 106 S. Grove Ave. It's a handsome stucco house of modest proportions that looks to be in good shape.

And now, Tallmadge & Watson. This one is at 1217 E 56th St. in Chicago, two blocks north of Robie. It's a beautiful 11-room house, but it's pricey: $1,100,000.00!

On the subject of PS houses for sale, William Drummond's Yelland House has been on the market for at least half a year. $250K goes a lot further in Mason City than Oak Park.
