2006 FLWBC Conference

Post by EJ »

I'm very excited to be attending my first FLWBC Conference this fall, as it will be in my own back yard in the Detroit area.

Since this is my first conference, could anyone tell me from past experience as to what the conferences typically have as a schedule of events, tours, etc.?

How much do they cost?

Thanks,

EJ

There is a conference link on the home page for the Conservancy site. You may find the information you want on that link.

EJ-

You might try contacting the Conservancy office by phone or email to see if they can send or email you a copy of the brochure from last year's conference in Los Angeles.

If they can, the brochure will provide you with a very detailed description of the optional pre-conference opportunities, as well as the main conference's schedule of morning seminars, lectures, and presentations, the afternoon field trips to tour buildings, and the evening special events, receptions and dinners.

It will also give you a very good sense of the costs of attending the conference, which can range from about $600-$700 for the conference itself to over $1500 if you participate in the pre-conference (additional cost) and also take part in every optional (extra cost) tour and special event offered, which some attendees do.

Anyway, you might want to give that a shot. Hope it works.
