1939 Manson Residence/Wausau, WI For Sale By Owner

Post by Wrightgeek »

While doing an internet search on former Taliesin apprentice Benjamin Dombar, I was suprised to stumble across a webpage for a Wisconsin FSBO real estate firm that has a listing for the Grant Manson residence in Wausau. For those who don't know, Ben Dombar was the apprentice assigned by Taliesin/FLW to oversee the construction of this house.

It is listed at $500,000, and there is an open house scheduled for June 10, 2006. The date of the open house is interesting, because it is the day after this house is scheduled to be part of Wright in Wisconsin's 2006 Wright and Like tour in Wausau. For the sake of the Wright In Wisconsin folks, I hope the house doesn't sell and close too quickly and need to be pulled from the tour.

I have included a link to the listing webpage below. It has some interesting information for those who care to check it out.

Why the interest in Dombar? I live in Lebanon just north of Cincinnati and there are three Dombar homes in Lebanon and I have been in two of them. He, as you probably know, has many homes built in Cinci. and they oftentimes come up for sale.

There is a forum in Cinci that is dedicated to modernist homes that has more information--www.cf3.com
