Has anyone out there had occasion to commission custom sconces? If so, who did you use, what materials did you select, and how did you like the result?
Thanks, in advance. . .

I've used Two Fish Art Glass in Forest Park, IL. They did really nice work and were not that expensive. Their website is

I once bought an outdoor entry light from these folks; really nice work, but not sure if they do custom.

I would recommend some of the artisians that just helped create some exciting items at the Westcott House.

Whitney Stained Glass Studio in Cleveland
Artemus Lighting
www.artemuslighting.com.
The latter made the metal structure for the dining room lamps which Whitney made the shades for. Artemus also recreated the wood block with metal body single open bulb fixture found in most prarie style homes. Another firm that can make these same fixtures is connars antiques in missouri,
