m.perrino-

Another title about Mr. Dow is called "Reflections", published in 1970 by the Northwoods Press. This is a very hard to find book, and I would love to find a copy someday.

Relections

Wrightgeek:

I have a copy of "Reflections", in excellent condition, which I am willing to sell for less than the one listed at Amazon. If you are interested, e-mail me. My e-mail address is in the memberlist section.

Time to call Storrer and the Foundation!

Another "unknown-until-the-realtor-figured-it-out-for-us" Wright home. - [2:55]

According to the video at 0:28, the house was designed by "Frank Lloyd Wrigh." Maybe it was?

That last one seems later than 1950 to me. The 1st vid is to Art Deco for Wright. I am not the expert though

I don't think this could have even come from the creative mind of FRED Lloyd Wright...perhaps the distant relative, Floyd Wright.

3 CAR GAURAGE? That's certainly a Wright feature.

Sounds vaguely French -- even though the French have thoughtfully contributed their word to the English, verba intacta (and that's my own pig Latin) . . .

I continue to be amazed at Floyd Wright's mastery of architectonic detail...notice his subtle recognition, utilization, and dare I say, celebration of the 4'x8' module of plywood in his, er, elegant cornice, or as this realtor might say, "cornish".

A bit steep at $150,000.00, but truly a bargain at $149,999.99

Here is my message to Mr. lucknow1:
Dear lucknow1,
I used to work for the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy. This house WAS NOT designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Please remove that designation as it is fraudulent. Please consult The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright: A Complete Catalog by William Allin Storrer for an accurate listing of Wright buildings.

Here is his learned response:

Dear Mr.Pringstorm,
Based on the information I got on this house, it was designed by Mr. Wright. If you have any other information which indicates that it was designed by someone else, please advise me and forward the information to me so that I can correct my advertisement. Thank you.

Paul : this is too much. Instead of providing information which might show how 'lucknow1' arrived at the FLW deduction, he challenges YOU my friend , to now prove his claim wrong.

Enough I say. All like minded chatters, assemble in Texas with PITCH FORKS AND TORCHES ABLAZE !!!!!

BTW - my ranch house, circa 1967 was designed by Wes Peters, Blaine Drake AND Jack Howe......PROVE ME WRONG !!!!!!

LOL

Kind of like dealing with Rich Johnson's "proof".

I always write to the realtor or seller of these bogus "Wright" houses to let them know that their listing is fraudulent and demand changes in their listing. In this case I also notified eBay.
