The "AD" appeared while we were upgrading the software that runs this BBS so that we could try to cut down on the Spam. In the few minutes that it took us to post the new BBS and take the logo of the software company off, you guys posted. Our apologies for the inconvenience. While we would like to be able to provide a BBS system that is completely bullet-proof, we're doing the best we can on a limited budget. Hopefully, this most recent upgrade will help.

A thousand times thank you! You can already see that the spam posts are gone. I am thrilled to return to participating in this excellent forum.

I would like to thank those involved at the Conservancy for all of their efforts to update this forum to deal with and hopefully eliminate the frustrating spam problem we have all endured in the recent weeks.



As users of this forum, which we all obviously enjoy tremendously, let's not forget that the forum is a benefit provided to us by the Conservancy, it is not something that the Conservancy is required to make available to us. Certainly the forum is beneficial to the Conservancy in many ways, but it also gives those of with a passion for the works of FLW much enjoyment as a way to share news, ideas, thoughts, and most of all our spirited opinions. I think it might be easy for those of us who have been involved with the forum for a significant period of time to take the forum for granted, as our right, and not as the bonus that it is.



I apologize for the rant, but after reading some of the recent complaints and attacks, I needed to get this off my chest. My real intent was to say thanks to those who were responsible for solving the spam problem, and to express my pleasure at having "our" forum back.



That having all been said, let's get back to discussion of the subject at hand-America's greatest architect, Frank Lloyd Wright!

Just for the record, well said Wrightgeek. However, those posts need not be viewed as attacks but as screams of frustration. What was one to do? The spam was really out of hand. I would imagine that there is a large contingent that checks this site a few times every day. As a new participant, I was at the point of "is it worth checking anymore?" Hopefully, the problem has been minimized and we can proceed without the distraction. Thanks again to the adiministration, webmaster, ...
