The Racine Heritage Museum has a new exhibit about the YWCA, including the perspective drawings and plans for the building which Wright designed in 1949/50. Wright withdrew from the commission when he learned that the Y board was also talking to two other architects. Wright had proposed a building with a glass roof, with a swimming pool below it (for those worried about leaky roofs?). The story of the commission is now the new journal or blog at:www.wrightinracine.com
