Location of projets designed by Wright but built after death

Post by jmcnally »

Hello - I am new to the chat board, although I have been lurking for a couple months now.

I like to photograph Wright buildings when I travel. (I have about 125 in my little portfolio.) I use Prof. Storrer's book as my main guide. As you know, in some neighborhoods you might find a FLW house and two or three look-alikes. Now I'm wondering how many of those look-alikes are actually Wright designs, too - and possibly built under the auspices of Taliesin.

Is there a comprehensive list on-line of FLW designs that were built later, including locations? I know (from reading this site) that there is one in the Cinci area. I will be traveling the I-75 corridor from Detroit to Tampa/Lakeland next week and would like to include as many of these post-death projects as possible.

Thanks for your help.

Start with TNguy's working thread entitled Taliesin Legacy Projects thread and hone in on additional questions to the group.

I have created a chart of properties based on the Legacy thread, and have posted it there. It is broken down by state where the legacy project is constructed, then by year of construction. I guess I am surprised there are so few of these projects, considering how many towns have a homeowner who likes to claim ownership of a Wright design!
