Here's one about a home John Lautner built in Pensacola, FL in 1957.
And,
here's one about a newly built home by Arthur Dyson in Eureka, MT.

Hmm -- a Lautner orphan. The only mention in the book he co-authored is of a local (Pensacola) newspaper article in 1958. No pics.
Poor Art Dyson: indication of what indifferent construction and an unsympathetic client can do to a design. Is that a spec house ?
It could be saved. . .!

Can someone explain to me the origin and aesthetic value of the window treatment in the final photograph? I see curtains knotted in the middle all over L A, but I cannot imagine why people do it.

I came across a cache of pics of John Lautner's house for his cousin Ernest in Pensacola while planning a trip to Florida recently; I thought I would post a link to them...(not sure if this is the same cache in the broken link above)

Mmm. I remember seeing that here; could have sworn it wasn't nine years ago, though. Maybe a search would turn up a thread. This is a nice set of photos.
