I have no idea where San Dieguito is ("Little San Diego" ?) but I like this house---an urban/suburban family home for today . The street styling caught my eye first---note use of Wright's layered facade, with head and sill lines conveniently swapped as suits need and composition (the bedroom balcony above the garage, a perfect example of what FLW was doing 125 or 130 years ago) but there's much more: three well-separated bedrooms, a dramatic entry space nicely integrated, an embraced tree integrated ditto (and presumably, depending on specie, the right plant in the right place, for good ?). The beamed overheads are a welcome luxury. The construction, layout and materials are straightforward while the plan and spatial play are anything but common.

New house in San Dieguito
Re: New house in San Dieguito
Yes, intelligent, tectonic, clean and sensible. Thanks for posting it.
Wonder if there is any provision to muffle sound from the above ground floor plate?
Roof fascia appears to be one long unbroken piece of material.
... btw, do you remember when the forum was discussing an unbuilt Wright house in Arizona that utilized an evaporative cooling system? The house had an unusual roof section and I think we found the plans over on Heritage Auctions. do you remember what thread that was? I can't find the house.

There was a house for Paul V Palmer, with an unusual roof section---a large angular plenum between roof and ceiling.

Is that the one you're remembering ?
