More than one Wright residence is claimed as "the first Prairie house." I hadn't seen Thomas on that list, before . . .

It's the first mature prairie house in Oak Park, but I've never seen anyone call it the first.

I've also read that it contains the first-ever recessed lights.

I suppose an effective answer to these many claims is the creation of a list of Wright "firsts," arranged chronologically and with each innovation ascribed to the building which contains it ?

That sounds like a tedious task.

Isn't most academic research tedious ? Wasn't the assembly of, say, the Taschen trio of volumes on Wright a tedious task ?

Or was that a rhetorical comment . . .

Like the question of who the best boxer of all time was or is, knowing the answer is of no real value, while the debate is endlessly entertaining.
