I'm still trying to figure out how an incredibly unique house, one that requires massive amount of time, materials and money, has anything to do with sustainable design.

"Actually, near the end of Frank Lloyd Wright's career most of his buildings were round . . . in one way or another." 8:53

please illustrate any building by FLW that in any way resembles the complexity of this project. Wright's curves were greatly simplified and much more buildable. I pity the contractor........

The efforts of others claiming to have been inspired by Wright's example are all too often disappointing---though usually not to this degree. Wright's self-imposed discipline as a designer is for me his strongest trait, and it is one that requires no special genius or divine inspiration. That discipline is the element lacking in the house we are discussing now, as I see it.

...and there is room for a pony!

Anyone claiming a project in the Sonoran Desert as sustainable that has a lawn and a waterfall needs to rethink their position.
