Architecture has lots going against it today, I suppose this can be added to the list. 99% (my own figure that I got out of my head) is formulaic dreck that is developer driven and not really Architecture anyway...it's just building, so not sure if any of this stuff makes any difference. Great Architecture (per my own definition) will always be a very boutique endeavor by those with the ability to see things in their minds eye, and not have to skip the creative steps. Of course, I could be all wrong on this.

For every Frank Lloyd Wright, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Franklin Pangborn there are hordes of dullards who don't have a clue. That's the real problem: Art cannot be taught or programmed. (Craft must be taught!) You are either an artist or you're not. FLW was correct to encourage architects to study structural engineering rather than waste their time trying to become artists. John Lautner was "proof of the pudding."

If in the future architects rely on AI for creativity, that will be a win for the Geeks. But it will be a conscious choice for the ______ (... fill in the blank, because it goes for all creative endeavors.) The enemy is the Geek horde that is foisting AI upon us unchecked. What non-Geeks must do is wrest control from the 'zero-one' digital hominids. That, to me, in my humble opinion, is Hewitt's point.
