Wow that's a great one..!
The living room is like an economy-version of the open double-story volume seen in Glore, Turkel, Bachman, etc.
And yet 1951 was before any of those houses.....?
Also before Milton Stricker set up shop in Seattle.

Fun fact: The house is near Magnuson Park, which is famous for its (bordering) home of the "sound garden".
[Which is where the band got its name from.]

Delightful. The rather bland but splendid view seems to have dominated the design, rightly so. Think of the sunsets---or is it sunrises ?

A minor surprise is that the fireplace, which might have been placed further along the back wall, within the low-ceilinged snug, is instead given to the whole double-height space . . .

The near view may be "bland," but the distant view of the mountains is "jaw-dropping"!
I personally don't like ceilings finished in tiles like these; looks cheap.
The door by the fireplace should have extended to the widow transom.

They don't call it View Ridge for nothing. Spectacular sunrises. Lots of great wood in the home and interesting double-rafters which was popular with other MCM architects in the region. That is a lot of glass to clean though. Clearly, a home built when heating oil cost pennies.
