Re: Wright Books + 1
Well, finally! Elizabeth's autobiography was written in 1929, and available only through the State Historical Society of Iowa on Xerox for $100. I got a copy about 20 years ago, Now, everyone can access it.
I found the book presented her life in a very straightforward manner, fact based and without bias, even the assessment of her stepmother, which might have been a "Mommy, Dearest" sort of tale. I highly recommend the book. A sidenote: The book, by dint of its lack of any mention of her half-brother's middle name, should put to rest the Lincoln rumor.

It's difficult to prove a negative. But I think there's enough other evidence to put the Lincoln matter to rest . . . by now.
