Jonathan Lipman request

Post by Mark Hertzberg »

I am posting this at the request of Jonathan Lipman, a dear friend, and author of the definitive “Frank Lloyd Wright and the Johnson Wax Buildings (Rizzoli: 1986). He is a leading practitioner of Vedic architecture. PM me if you are interested and I will put you in touch with Jonathan.

“Maharishi International University and its prep school are collaborating with psychology and architecture faculty to understand the correlation between sleep direction and health. Four previously published studies reached positive finding.

“An MIU student did a not-yet published study of a population of approximately two hundred individuals, with similarly promising results. We hope now to replicate the study, surveying a much larger population to definitively validate the findings. Our plan is then to submit the two combined studies to a medical journal, and also present the findings to the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture. If you would be interested in helping us to complete this study, it promises to help to contribute a valuable new perspective on how buildings affect health and well-being.

“To complete this follow-up study we need to locate subjects outside of the universe that knows about Vastu to participate in a survey.

“In the survey the subjects will take standardized online mental health and mood assessments taking a total of five to ten minutes, and follow a protocol using the compass function on a smart phone to assess the direction in which they sleep. The findings will be anonymous.”
