As a student, Brad Lynch was the lead carpenter and oversaw the restoration of the First Jacobs House. He went on to form an architecture firm in Chicago that was responsible for some innovative and wonderful modern homes. The Jacobs House was actually a first "commission" for both of us, and we had great fun working out restoration techniques and methods together. Brad always admired FLW, and continued to design homes that were well-crafted and timeless. He will be missed.

Was there ever a lovelier architect's obituary than the one written by F. Philip Barash?

Is it a scoop (or a mistake) that Fay Jones apprenticed at Jacobs I ?
