Wonderful story, Mark. And I don't think I've ever seen proper photos of the dining room---though there must be one or more in your book on the house. There is nothing in the available drawings of the house that would prepare on for the sight of this space, with its unusual array of windows stretching to the ceiling.

The old photo is revealing. It could be assumed that the white of the house was not original, but the color in the b&w photo looks a lot darker than the new hue. Did research show the color as it is now? If not, why didn't they go back to the original?

I believe the original was light on top, dark green or brown on the bottom. Personal preference for the current colors.
