Just saw a Blaine Drake home for sale: The Hawkins house, 1964, 3,700 square feet, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath. Located in Phoenix, near Camelback Mountain offered by Jarson & Jarson : $2.899,500. Hey, just round it to 3 Million. Still looks very clean after all these years.

No, but Blaine Drake's wife was apprentice Hulda.
Gordon Drake was a brilliant architect who was a student of Harwell Hamilton Harris at USC. Tragically, Drake died in a skiing accident at the age of 34 in 1952.

Blaine Drake's work has an elegant simplicity that many of the FLW followers lack. His work is never too busy.
Blaine, like Gordon, had a sad ending: Friends asked him to housesit while they went on an extended vacation. When they returned home, they found that Drake had died of a heart attack at their house shortly after they had left and was not found until they returned months later.
