Prairie style house

It is a nice house, especially for the scale. I almost never like large houses. Something gets lost in the design process...

It needs work. I believe people underestimate the cost of owning a large home.

This house is being sold for $15/sf. If that doesn't spell trouble, what does?

The asking price is $150/sf...I doubt it could be built for that. The house was an honest effort that appears to have fallen on hard times...retirement dream house that requires more maintenance than can be addressed by the owner?

The plastic sheeting at the dining room ceiling gives me pause.

Agents usually make an effort to post flattering photos. The condition of the lot (even allowing that March isn't a photogenic time of year) suggests that this one is a low priority, priced for quick sale.

The picture Dan is referring to.

Is this design ... or, damage??? (it looks like there is staining on the floor, also)

It's a pity. The doors in that last photo aren't a stock item, either. The sash in the house, echoed (most unusually) in the kitchen cabinet doors, exhibits a unique muntin pattern.
