In the living room photo looking toward the fireplace: I wonder how close to original the deck lighting is. Its continuousness doesn't ring true to what was available in 1925, when even florescent lighting wasn't available (nor would FLW have used it if it had been). It may look more appealing to the modern eye than a row of single bulbs with unlit spaces between, but restoration should stay with the original, not say "What if FLW had LED lights!"

The gathering places - theater, drafting room - look forlorn empty, no matter how well done the restoration. Will there ever again be a drafting room full of drafters?

The Wyoming Valley Grammar School is such a splendid work, it deserves a detailed book of it own. FLW was a brilliant designer of pavilions. This may not technically qualify as such, but it has many of the same qualities.

I don't know about the lighting, but he didn't stay stuck in 1925. Fluorescent bulbs were available before he died in 1959 and we know he kept working on the house.

RG makes a good point about the lighting above the fireplace. At least that awful rug of overlapping circles is gone from the great living room, which is surely Wright at his best. The place looks in poor shape (worse even than my own house), and it looks terribly forlorn and emptied of life. These pictures are very sad.
