This image of the Stockman house prompted such thoughts

Where did Wikipedia get information that Sullivan remodeled FLW's moonlighted MacHarg House?

There should be a differentiation between houses that were lifted whole-hog (Stockman) and those that were disassembled and rebuilt (Bachman). The former are probably limited to very few in number, while the latter are growing in number.

Gordon was split in half, haul and splice. There is a video about the move.

The second floor “box”’of Gordon was moved intact, while the masonry and concrete and living room roof framing were built new. If Bachman Wilson had moved only a few miles, it could have been accomplished similarly.

The “temporary” cottage built for the Booth family while their house was being built in Glencoe in the 19-teens was moved intact twice: once in the teens or ‘20’s, and again in 2020.

Pope-Leighey moved as a tear down and rebuild in 1964, and again in the 1990’s, though only a distance measured in yards the second time.

A piece of the Imperial Hotel, 3 rooms from Little and the Kaufman office have all been reassembled offsite and put on exhibit.

Wasn't the River Forest Tennis club moved decades ago?
