So, after giving Frank Lloyd Wright the opportunity and (apparently) the inspiration to design one of his more memorable residences (maybe the site was the inspiration ?), Ralph Jester favored Lloyd with the commission for his house.

Alan Weintraub, the hero of Lloyd's story as far as memorialization and publication are concerned, found the house before the White Paint Brigade struck. His story of the house:

On the face of it, a house of this nature on acreage with fabulous views and only $2.5M* would seem an unbelievable value, but take a look at 3:10: There is a typical crack in a planter that suggests that the property is not stable. The area is beset by occasional mud slides, and this house looks like it is on the brink. The chapel in the distance has suffered damage from being too close to the cliff. If I were thinking of buying the beautiful house, I would have to have assurance that it would not slip into the Pacific.

* There are 2-bedroom condos in LA that cost that much. 2.5 is not an extravagant amount for a house in LA.

Is that man a Realtor® ? Why is a man who mumbles his name, doesn't know who Lloyd Wright is, doesn't know what a carport is, isn't sure where the entrance to the house is, showing us this property in a video ?
