Folk and friends near Milwaukee are invited to become members of the fine preservation advocacy group, Milwaukee Preservation Alliance, and with that membership in hand, sign up for an exclusive small group in-depth tour of the Elizabeth Murphy House followed by an escorted neighborhood walk to study her offspring - a handful of homes within blocks designed by Russell Barr Williamson for Arthur Richard's clients in the decade following end of the American System-Built Homes project. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/frank-lloy ... 7363421499

In my hometown, there is the Sindt House (813 2nd Ave. SW, Pipestone, MN) probably of a similar age to "Forgotten," which has a stucco finish on part of the entrance similar in look to the Murphy pebble stucco. Although now painted, it appears the original stucco is still there 100 years later. It looked perfectly intact back in the 40s and 50s. I wonder if that particular pebble look was used for standard stucco or if the Murphy approach could actually have lasted this long?
