Greetings
I have been searching out/viewing Frank Lloyd Wright structures for some 30 years and have documented some 236 sites. Each of the sites I visited having its own folder with my own photos and photos/websites/videos from around the internet.
My next project this coming year is to visit the American Systems Built homes in Illinois/Wisconsin/Iowa

which lists some of the homes. I know the Gary IN home burned down.
If anyone has any suggestions regarding this upcoming project I welcome any input/suggestions

Munkwitz is long gone.
Stephen M. B. Hunt House II is an upgraded version of Richards Bungalow, done as a one-off by FLW. Richards wasn't involved. It may be somewhat more refined than the others.
I don't know any of the people involved with the Milwaukee houses open to the public, except Barbara Elsner, owner of the Bogk House. She would be an excellent person to contact for information.

I did the grand American Systems built homes this last week and followed
List of American System-Built Homes (“ASBH”) designed by Frank Lloyd Wright

However I noticed that two of the homes Elizabeth Murphy House at 2106 East Newton in Shorewood and the home at 2107 West Lawn Ave. in Madison did not have the Storrer S.identification
Any reason they do not?

Quite simply, ASBH’s continue to be found.

Accurate or complete listings of kits sold or built in the 19-teens were not kept, likely because the Richards Company was to pay royalties to Wright on kits sold and houses built. To avoid royalty payments on an endeavor that was experiencing financial challenges, it was in Richards’ interest to be loose in record keeping. The advent of the US involvement in WWI also slowed or stopped sales, and may have led to kits sold but not immediately erected such that houses became “lost”.

Storrer’s list of ASBH’s began with Wright’s own project records, with additional houses/projects added as they came to light via drive-by observations by Storrer himself or other Wright enthusiasts.

It is likely there may be a few more as yet not identified, or lost to fire, demolition, or extensive alterations. As with many “model” or “kit” houses, there may well be ASBH kits purchased and constructed, but altered or supplemented during the original build by additional elements such that the ASBH design cues may be difficult to discern.

Money. A lot of construction of new homes/apartment buildings has to do with the cost. Not to say that FLW structures can't be built economically but we are being peppered all over the country with stick and twig press on panels and 'engineered' materials to save costs. I drive all over the middle USA and see junk being built everywhere.

The Elizabeth Murphy House https://elizabethmurphyhouse.com is designated S.203.5 in Storrer's 4th edition. The Madison model AA202 is S.204.8. Glad you were able to visit.
