She was a co-author, with John Woodbridge, David Gebhard, Roger Montgomery and Robert Winter, of the early editions of "A Guide to Architecture in San Francisco & Northern California," a bible for lovers of the art here . . .

Speaking of guidesbooks to SF.
When I lived out there I found a guidebook to walking paths of SF.
It took me to places through the city I would never have found otherwise.
SF is a breathtaking place.
I lost that book - and have never gotten over it.

I haven't seen the book, but I'll keep my eyes open. If I find copies I'll send you one. I could do with more walking . . .

You may be thinking of "Stairway Walks in San Francisco" by Adah Bakalinsky. Or "Urban Trails: SF" by Alex Kenin; or "Walking SF" by Tom Downs. There are others also. Adah Bakalinksy's book is the best know, having been around in one version or another for decades.

I think it was the Bakalinsky book!
Google says she's 96.
Really opepned up the character of the city for me.
Had no idea before that.
