Should anyone be perplexed by the title of the article---or the snow in the photos---it was published in "Southwest Minneapolis' Community Newspaper". . .

Purcell-Cutts and Backus Houses, plus the Stewart Church were all on tour at the FLWBC Conference in 2000. P/C is spectacular. Backus has been restored and maintained beautifully. As I recall, the church was a bit worse for wear inside.

But the showplace, not mentioned, is the Powers House. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood, don't skip at least a drive-by.

The Minnesota Prairie-Style "showplace" was located in Minnetonka, but today all that's left in the State is a hallway and a pile of rubble.
