No 2020 Calendar?
No 2020 Calendar?
Was there a FLW spiral bound engagement calendar this year? I don't see one on Amazon.

Funny to see this thread resurrected. I've missed having a FLW spiral bound calendar for the last couple years now. I've been tempted to have one published and try to sell it. I certainly have enough photos of Wright projects to film a decade's worth of such calendars. But I've been busy.
I wonder if such a calendar would be popular with this group. Maybe a fundraising effort for the Conservancy?

Yes, it was a very important date for him, because that year he took a trip worldwide on his bike. To be exact, he rode it around the world for two and a half years after assembling it. So what I did was I used pictures of his bike for collages, downloaded the december calendar template, and pasted that onto the pictures. After that, I sent all the images I needed to the post office of the city print shop. They made me a great custom spiral calendar. You can do the same.

So I've been raising this issue for how long? And I still miss a FLW spiral bound notebook sized calendar. I keep thinking I'll publish one myself (have more than enough photos), but never have had the time.

Yes! The FLW spiral bound engagement calendar is back! This year, we have partnered with the beautiful and talented Kristin Lindstrom to create a beautiful and inspiring calendar.
The calendar features a gorgeous cover with an illustration of the couple’s engagement shoot, a full-color interior, and a spiral binding to keep it all together. The calendar is available in both hardcover and softcover editions.
The hardcover edition of the calendar costs $25 and includes a full-color interior, a spiral binding, and a dust jacket. The softcover edition costs $20 and includes a full-color interior, a spiral binding, and a dust jacket. Both editions are available now.

Does this desk calendar even have any photos?

On the same page at Amazon is another offering, a calendar with detail (i.e., partial) images of Hiroshige prints. At least the colors can be assumed to be original . . . if not slightly boosted in saturation ?

Yes, the saturation is boosted. I have that particular edited print and a full-sized fan-shaped version in the Hiroshige book "Birds and Flowers." I mounted it in a Victorian frame painted silver.
Re: No 2020 Calendar?
Before I make a search, did anyone catch a reference to what Wright may have seen in Hiroshige et al that inspired or delighted him, in one of the videos linked here in the past week or so ? It could have been Roger Weir . . .
The point was a fresh one, in my experience, an addition to what we already have read or heard from FLW himself about the matter.
