Now THAT's organic ! It's never looked better in photographs; the aerial view with all lights blazing is marvelous.

The living-room window wall beneath an arch evokes Lautner's Silvertop . . .?

Consider all you would get for ten grand per night. There is a hotel in WeHo with a suite that goes for $63K/night ... and that doesn't even include the macadamia nuts. For the billionaire this place aims at, $10K is the equivalent of $10.00 to a millionaire. If all you have is a grand, it would be like ten cents per night.

I cannot believe that a circular bed is something to be desired.
One would be fighting the linens all night long.

A circular fitted sheet would be no harder to make---and easier to fit---than a rectangular one. The top sheet might be D-shaped ? Blankets, duvets, etc, would presumably also be circular.

I wonder if any of Wright's trapezoidal or parallelogramatic beds had custom sheets made for them. The principal bed in the Jester plan is circular, while the valet's bed is arc-shaped---a monstrosity both to dress and to sleep in ? I will not at present seek out the several subsequent Jester-derived plans, for fear of what I might see . . .

It is not a difficulty making bedding for a circular bed, it is a matter of a sleeper dealing with it ... especially if one is given to flopping around like a hooked fish on a dock. I don't regard the Jester beds as any better, especially with an overhanging planter posing a threat. Unless it contains a Venus Flytrap, which keep the area free of flying bugs, (I believe Mr. Jester's valet's name was Igor.)

In the 60s, Jackie Gleason designed and built a circular house in upstate NY that included a circular bed 8' in diameter.

Kellogg's house protrudes entirely out of its rocky environs. The February/March 1984 issue of Fine Homebuilding cover story is about a house in Arizona that is nestled (mostly) within the boulders, with apertures created by the stones glazed for windows. I wonder if Kellogg was inspired by that house?
