The interesting claim is made, by both museum officials, that the Currier is the only museum that will be able to own a pair of Wright houses. Is this necessarily the case ? Couldn't, for instance, the Getty in LA potentially end up with both the Freeman and Storer houses---under some future circumstance not presently foreseeable ?

Okay. (I didn't propose USC, for obvious reasons . . .)

Stanford University already has Hanna; maybe (with its $37.8 billion endowment) it could have acquired Mathews when that house appeared on the market last year, selling for c. $7 million ?
