Looks like four Willits chairs will be together---somewhere---for the foreseeable future ?

The building is an assembly of contemporary tropes, it's depressing.

If "Antiques Roadshow" is to be taken seriously, the wonderful products of the A&C movement (as well as FLW drawings and art glass) have dropped in popularity considerably. Too bad. Along with MCM and Deco, A&C is so fine, it should never go out of style. At one point, I saw a Grueby 8"-square tile with a $4,000 price tag ... for just one tile! Those days are over, it seems.

That's a good thing, if it means that such objects are more affordable for those who desire them ? "Exclusive" is a term that needs to be taken literally . . .

True, but the downside is that less care will be taken to preserve the artifacts. Angster is an example of a FLW house that simply slipped away without anyone noticing. Even our brilliant virtual artists would have trouble putting together a reasonable facsimile. On the other hand, maybe that wonderful copper orb, which I saw in a shop on Madison Ave. for $500K, will drop into my price range .... although I doubt it.
