"OMG"? ... "Bizarre"? ... What? The house is actually not bad. No masterpiece, but not a bad design, given what usually ends up on the "SWCCAFLW" thread. I like the design of the trusses.
Is it shock to find a couple of panels from Auldbrass worked into the design? I imagine, given the terrible state the plantation was in up to the day Joel purchased it, there must be bits and pieces of the house all over the south.
The video of Auldbrass taken in the 80s and shown at the 1986 Homeowners' Conference at Barnsdall was an eye-opener. I wish it had been posted on You Tube. The level of degradation was extreme. The only surprise is that no more of its bits and pieces have shown up over the years.
