For Sale: very early Pierre Koenig
What is the date of construction ? Koenig in wood; most interesting. Vocabulary drift: Koenig was a Case Study architect, but this was not a Case
Study house. Because it was added to, we can't tell from the photos, I guess, what is original. Did Koenig employ diagonals in his plan, do you suppose ?
I assume the floor was a slab, perhaps exposed or maybe with vinyl tile; I prefer the glossy granite-look tile in the dining room to the bland whitish stuff
elsewhere -- by a bit. Koenig uses a zig-zag window wall reminiscent of the ones at Wright's Levin house. Would he also have mixed stone wall treatment
with a textured white-painted brick or block, in the same space ?
