Neat article, thanks for posting it Paul.
The opening picture taken at Ocotillo is mirrored...the dual cowl Packard had its steering wheel on the left hand side of the car. The AC pictured further down was made for sale in Britain, and had a right hand drive configuration as shown in the pic.

I had a bright red Dinky Toy cast-metal model of a Jaguar that I thought at first must be an MG. I think it had twin windscreens, little stand-up gravestones in clear plastic. That AC is another body in the same style -- closer in period to the Jaguar ?
