Artist Donald J. Anderson and FLLW

Post by SWSinDC »

I have found reference to the late Chicago-based artist Donald J. Anderson, a native of Southwest Michigan, having one or more of his works purchased by FLLW (perhaps at an exhibition in St. Joseph, Michigan, and perhaps for display in a FLLW house) and a friendship developing therefrom. Can anyone shed any light on this? Many thanks in advance.

There are a lot of "Anderson" artists' work exhibited online, and even a few "Donald Andersons," but I could not find any "Donald J. Andersons."

Two pieces of Don J. Anderson's work ("Hill" and "Dale") were shown in 1957 at Navy Pier, sponsored by the Chicago Art institute. I could find no images.
He was born in 1926, died in 2004.
