2004 Dewdney:
I usually don't like A-frame houses (a style more suitable for mid-century Lutheran churches) but this one, like others by Schindler, Dow, Mills and Parker, proves it can be well done.

834 Southfield:
In the "old days," - late 19th century - when large houses were designed in the 16th century French style, they were described as "palatial." Today, large houses in the modernist style look more "corporate."

YouTube runs the gamut from delightful Bach concerts to this silliness.

Interesting to see, in the aerial shots, that the chimneys have been capped, with stone that appears to match the rest of the masonry. Perhaps the fireplaces were always gas-fired ?

There's enough pecky cypress (?) here to . . . name your imaginary deployment. Painting it seems almost as ill-advised as would painting the stonework.
