A new unique indoor/outdoor performance pavilion has been recently completed as part of the mall outside of the Historic Park Inn. The annual Christmas Tuba Concert was held in the indoor area recently. The outside portion is used weekly in the summer for local concert performances.
The existing shopping mall adjacent to the Historic Park Inn has been purchased by the same firm that is building the Hyatt Place hotel and being repurposed with a more family oriented theme with less retail and more entertainment.
