When I visited Wingspread in 1987, and climbed the spiral stair, there was a cactus in a pot on the balcony at the base, and a slender cactus, tied occasionally to keep it from falling over, grew the entire distance of the stair.

I was there three years ago, but there was no cactus. This is a very beautiful place, in my opinion, it is underestimated in its uniqueness.
