This is a fantastic design.

I remember seeing it, peeking into the windows, when it was for sale in the aughts for $400,000. I was ready to leave LA and live in that schoolhouse. Then Irmi brought me back to my senses. But still!...

It's nice to see Wright's globe light fixtures reappearing here, seemingly floating beneath the entry-way ceilings.

The untethered 3D roof truss system supports the ridge via slender steel (?) posts, I see now. Sweet . . .

We looked more closely at this building, not long ago. Can't find it. This is one of those projects whose first version was richer and more elaborate -- to one
degree or another. There are worst things in the world than a minimalist Wright building !

The perspective drawing published in Monograph 5 and in Taschen III shows an earlier version of the design; it appears to depict a rotated square plan, mostly pitched-roofed, with different terminal rooms. This (unpublished) plan brings it closer
to the 1926 Kindersymphonies designs, on which it is said to be based.
