As far as I know, all the Oboler designs except Eaglefeather were built and still stand.

... mean about the seemingly prosaic nature of Continuation being better than a conglomeration of geometries. I'll take a second and harder look at Eaglefeather based on this. I've always felt the fact this building wasn't built was a real loss. The "collision" of geometries has always ...

... If there is any notion of concrete blocks holding up the cantilevered carport roof, it will look ridiculous. ... 90% done. The new owners have done a great job and spared no expense in restoring the project with assistance from Eric Lloyd Wright. The original Eaglefeather house would never pass modern code, but the owners are considering building Continuation.

... Cottage seems solid to me. Never noticed this project before. The pass thru is curious, but interesting nevertheless. The project reminds me of Eaglefeather, which from the downhill side was also balanced asymmetrically and even had a sort of sawn off Tahoe crown.

I wondered that also because there are more Obler perfs marked on the plans. We know the Gatehouse perf design from 1941 but not the Eaglefeather perf design. (Again, though, this perf seems a later design than 40's to me.) When was the Obler Continuation last in the drafting room? Do you ...

Deke- the Gladney perspective JimM posted looked at first like the Lake Tahoe project .... It is beautiful in design. I think I see little bit of Sander in it and a little Eaglefeather too

Oboler is quite easy to see from Mullholland. Had they gone ahead with Eaglefeather it might be invisible from the street but not from PCH below.

Pearce is in a gated community but visible at from the freeway below. Don't try this if you're driving.
