The bibliography in Weintraub's book on Lloyd Wright lists the following book:

Lloyd Wright Drawings, Yukio Futagawa, 1986.

I cannot find a single listing for this book anywhere on the web. Does it actually exist? If so, where may a copy be found?

Interesting story, Paul. I seem to recall reading that he rarely, if ever, entertained visitors.

Paul, could you possibly elaborate on your experience with David Wright? Do you think your experience with him was his typical response?

With regard to Lloyd Wright, are there any recommended books about his design work?

peterm, the masonry caps around the fireplace are indeed very complementary to the concrete clerestories. The caps provide the room with a very polished look. I've always assumed the caps were made from concrete, but perhaps they are some type of stone. Zimmerman is a very "refined" Usonia...

Michael McGuire

I recently came across some information about the work of architect Michael McGuire in Stillwater, MN. Although I don't believe he ever studied at Taliesin, his designs seem rather "Wrightian" in nature. The A-Frame design in particular is reminiscent of designs by Mark Mills: Rental Listi...

SDR, many thanks for the picture re-posts from dtc. I am reminded once again of his and Mrs. dtc's outstanding stewardship of Dobkins.

I am interested in learning more about Ryosuke Isoya's design work if anyone can pinpoint some accessible links or archived photos. The sole photo on the Wright in Japan website shows a very strong late-period Usonian influence. Antonin & Noemi Raymond seemed to enjoy a very long and distinguish...

Thanks for your insights, Paul, SDR, and DRN. I do hope that MacNider remains on the house tour in May 2014. DRN, I'll search for your previous discussion about MacNider and will post the link. In terms of scale, it seems that the house is approximately 1,500 sq. ft. (main floor). Is this accurate? ...

Thanks for your insights, pmahoney. The house appears to be finely detailed from the photographs, and the stained glass windows are an especially nice feature.
